What's your goal?
It's almost 3:30am and I'm up thinking. As I said before, the best time of the day to do anything because your mind is clear and relaxed. I keep thinking about a particular goal of mine, one that I will plan in the near future. If you noticed, without even thinking.... we use that acronym S.M.A.R.T. I wanted to get into detail with this topic later today but there is no better time than the now. With that said, lets be Specific. First, we'd start out with the #1 question.... "What is your goal?". To be fair, I will tell you my goal. My goal is to do what I love but also spend more time with the people that I love, people meaning my family. I want to continue my career personal training and instructing fitness classes but transitioning more towards online. After all, as much as I hate to admit it.... online is becoming the future. There are only so many hours in a day and I want to spend them equally on both the things and people that I love, fortunately the internet is allowing to do this. Lucky for me, I've asked this question a while ago so action has already been taken BUT I have not applied all the steps of S.M.A.R.T. to my goal. Practice what you preach they say so that's what'll I do and you can all join me along the ride. Me being Specific if the outcome of this company. One thing I will say about being Specific, be just that. Ask yourself who, what, where, why and how. For me, I'm the who. What I want to do is take my career (personal training and instructing classes) and put it online. Where I want to do it.... online and the why is simple, so I can spend more time with my family. Lastly, how... well that's for us to continue the process of S.M.A.R.T. I like to think of the whole process as my baby because it goes from an idea to something you actually create, almost like a living breathing person. This is how you start to fall in love with the process. This is also the first step to finding your purpose, we all have one. Some are unable to find it at the moment, maybe because of life's struggles or some just don't have their priorities straight. Sometime in your day, take time out to think about a goal you want to achieve... if you haven't already. Write it down so it's visible and real. Post it somewhere you will always see so you have a constant reminder. Constant reminders are great to have because there are daily distractions that will pull you away from your goal but also remember priorities. There is a lot to this but we will tackle it together. There is no I in S.M.A.R.T. and no I in goals but we do have a T so let's do this!
